Mission and objectives
The Community Navigator is responsible for coordinating and guiding seniors and their families who need help accessing services that will improve their financial and general well-being.
What is community navigation?
Establish a point of service in the Francophone community
- Identify existing French- and English-speaking resources that can be useful to seniors and their loved ones
- Research services offered in the Alberta region in terms of financial independence for seniors
- Refer seniors and their families to organizations and programs that will help them meet the challenges they face in terms of financial and general well-being.
Enhance the financial well-being of Alberta seniors
- Meet one-on-one with seniors and help them through the process
- Organize adapted workshops on financial well-being, in collaboration with partners
- Help seniors and retirees identify their needs
Expand services for Franco-Albertan seniors
- Offer support services between Edmonton and Calgary
- Provide points of service for low-income Francophone seniors
