Parler pour transmettre

parlerpourtransmettre.ca

The “Parler pour transmettre” project is an oral transmission of the memories of our French-speaking elders, through podcasts, videos and stories.

Whatever their origins, life paths or experiences, they tell us, through precious interviews, about their family memories, schooling and love encounters.

They share their memories of the society in which they have lived their lives, the difficult moments as well as the happier ones.

They also share their hopes and advice for future generations.

With “Parler pour transmettre”, beyond highlighting this living memory, the FAFA wants, in partnership with the Société historique francophone de l’Alberta, to participate in the preservation of the memory of Alberta’s francophones.

This website aims to help transmit and preserve a priceless francophone memory.

The concept is simple: to document an encounter between two people belonging to different generations, whose lives, passions or concerns diverge, converge or are passed on.

As a vector of social cohesion, the intergenerational dimension legitimizes its place at the heart of cultural and societal initiatives. Through the mutual transmission of values and knowledge, this dialogue is essential to integration.
